Luffa Ridge Gourd Heirloom Seeds – Grow Your Own Turai at Home

Grow Fresh Ridge Gourd (Turai) in Your Kitchen Garden

Luffa Ridge Gourd — known as *Turai* or *Torai* in Hindi — is one of India’s most popular and nutritious vegetables. These heirloom seeds are open-pollinated, non-hybrid varieties that have been passed down through generations, prized for their authentic flavour, vigorous growth, and the ability to save seeds for future seasons.

A fast-growing climber that thrives in Indian summers, ridge gourd is perfect for kitchen gardens, terrace gardens, and balcony trellises.

Key Features

• Heirloom (open-pollinated) variety — save seeds for next season
• Fast-growing climber — produces abundantly in warm weather

1. Soak seeds in water for 12–24 hours before sowing
2. Sow 2–3 cm deep in well-draining, fertile soil
3. Place in a warm, sunny spot with a trellis or support structure nearby
